01: Index Page

MASTER:
I based my layout and used code from an archived geocities site, the site title is a kaomoji, "Ó¤Hºô" and I could not find any name for an owner/information about the site owner. Please check out the site yourself, only the homepage is really in tact but it's a cool slice of history! Thank you mysterious japanese site owner...

MASTER:
maphren on neocities is who I sourced and based my homepage code on!!! they have THE COOLEST SITE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS, seriously they are an ace and their art is some of my favourite that i have ever had the pleasure of seeing. They clearly have a strong understanding of web design and I wanted to learn from them by studying their code, naturally I made changes but I feel like I learned a lot just by going through the sweet "about me" page they have!!! please go check them out, OR ELSE

03: Blog

MASTER:
seaofstars has an engaging and super cute blog! I specifically loved the header layout and image placement, so I used this blog as a framework for my own with their base code. This code is one of the three (see above/below) from neocities that was not a direct tutorial/coded from scratch, however I searched the site and found nothing against using their code as a base or reference! As such I used the header/function code as a framework rather than the actual blogging section, their homepage is very beautiful and uniquely theirs. If they have any issues with sourcing their code and they find this resource reference, then please let me know! I will gladly change it :)

This is another page based on an old geocities site! It's sourced from the welcome page for a Card Captor Sakura fanpage, the site is by Tomoyo! Some of the external pages still work on the site, it's so cute, please check it out. I wonder if Tomoyo knows about neocities now....

05:Faves

MASTER:
alice-in-avalon.art has one of the most magical sites I have ever come across! I cannot reccommend checking them out enough, the site in itself is truly an experience. I thought their layout for their favourites section with the anime, manga, etc. that they enjoyed done up with little banners was adorable, so I used the base code for their layout for my favourites page and customized from there. This code is one of the two that I sourced that was not explicitly a part of a tutorial/open source/coded from scratch, however I searched the site and found nothing against using their code as a base! as such I only used the faves navigation page as a framework :) If they have any issues with sourcing their code and they find this resource reference, then please let me know! I will gladly change it! again, i cant stress enough for everyone to check this site out, it reminds me of a winter palace.

09:Music Player

MASTER:
June is the owner of loveberry, the site I sourced the music player from, as well as layercake, a larger website with a seemingly infinite amount of super cool tidbits and resources. Their website is so detailed and seems to be pretty popular, for very good reason! I think they're quite talented and you're 100% missing out if you don't go check them out. Super grateful for the tutorial/code that was provided, the music player is so creative!

DISCLAIMER

DISCLAIMER!!! (sorry this is very wordy lol :,)) above is a list of the code, art, and extra tidbits that I sourced, referenced, or featured on my site. note that when i refer to artists, i mean all sorts, including visual as well as the art of coding. images are primarily (but not all) a mix of my own art and images from gifcities, specifically the geocities archive on internet archive, as well as glittergraphics. Aditionally, there are images sourced from archived geocities websites; credits can be found under the images or on this resources page. however, if you notice that any of the images may have been uploaded/taken and reposted as open-source against the suthor/illustrator's wishes, please let me know in my comment box so i can credit/remove artwork appropriately, thank you so much! I do my very best to give credit. I have done my best to be thorough in my coding credits, especially where i am a newbie at this xd. The specialty images that are mine are availible in my gallery. For official studio artwork of some anime/video games, I credited them in the visual resource section in cases where i dont directly provide the link with the clip/image, as its understood that these owner of the copyright for these artworks is the media company that distributed them and are widely used and circulated online. These are images that include official promotional material for some of my favourite media, as well as screenshots/gifs/clips directly from the original media. to be clear, they are still mostly sourced from the geocities archive/geocities sites/glitter graphics, i just wanted to make the distinction between archived/independent art vs art from a media conglomerate. I do not support the random sourcing of images from platforms known for reposting artwork without credit, such as instagram, tiktok, pinterest, etc., which is why its important to me to make the distinction that i sourced the vast majority of my visuals from one archive with links provided to the og websites when it was known, and outlining where you can find my sources. I aimed to keep the majority of the images from the archives due to a want to draw attention to some of the fun and creative code/visuals from old geocities sites, as well as to keep a somewhat organized method for referencing sources. Thank you for your patience with my rant, i have an englsh degree so sourcing things is important to me and so i felt the need to like word vomit here THANK YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY xx HOWEVER!!! if any of these images was archived or uploaded to the archive site without this being the wish of the author, then PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! The most recent of these images would be from around 2009, so bear this in mind when citing the potential original geocities website that hosted the image/gif. i am not responsible for managing the copyright of archived images as they are understood to be open-source and public access, and i make no profit from this website, its purely a personal experience site; any uncredited artwork was done so unknowingly. As such, rather than take offense, i ask that you please identify that images/gifs that the author did not want to have been in the archive or reused, so that i can help put an end to that cycle and cite the artist accordingly. I am morally against practices of uncredited redistribution and would like to give credit where it's due. Likewise, I have ZERO AI TOLERENCE. PLEASE DO NOT USE IT IN ANY WAY WHEN INTERACTING WITH MY SITE OR ELSE THE SHADOW WIZARD WILL BREW YOU FOR HIS EVENING TEA. With all that being said (thank you for your patience) please check out some of the incredibly skilled artists below, i am a mere smudge compared to their greatness *wipes tear of gratitude*
